A expansão do Parque Olhos d’água foi o tema debatido na noite desta quinta-feira (03), no Plenário da Câmara Legislativa. A audiência pública contou com a participação de representantes do governo, da comunidade e dos deputados Raad Massouh e Joe Valle. O principal assunto debatido foi a polêmica da construção de um futuro centro comercial em uma área próxima ao parque, com sensibilidade ambiental. O local tem laudos técnicos que comprovam a existência de cursos d'água, inclusive já parcialmente prejudicados, que foram no passado, aterrados para a construção de quadras habitacionais. O secretário do Meio Ambiente e de Recursos Hídricos, Eduardo Brandão, iniciou seu discurso comentando da ausência de representantes das instituições interessadas nos empreendimentos. “É uma pena que não poderemos ouvir o outro lado, porque se depender das ações deste governo, não haverá centro comercial algum na área. O governador quer que o espaço seja de preservação ambiental”, disse o secretário, que em seguida foi ovacionado pela plateia. O terreno em questão foi vendido pela Terracap a um empresário em 2000, no governo de Joaquim Roriz. O secretário Eduardo disse ainda que o interessado precisará ser indenizado pelo governo. “Teremos de ser justos. O Estado tem de ser responsável e terá de ressarcir o empresário”, falou Brandão. Como resultado, da audiência pública resultará em um documento oficial, chancelado pelo governador Agnelo Queiroz garantindo a preservação da área. Os edifícios habitacionais da Universidade de Brasília também projetados para uma área próxima ao parque devem ainda ser analisados pelos órgãos ambientais, Semarh e Ibram. O local, desde que respeitados os 30 metros afastados da APP do local, tem laudos técnicos realizados por empresa particular que comprovam a legalidade da construção. O Ibram informa que o processo de licenciamento ambiental desta área não foi iniciado. |
Há de se lembrar que os pareceres técnicos que não permitiram a continuidade da obra foram produzidos por servidores Analistas Ambientais da Diretoria de Parques. Pareceres anteriores somente solicitavam estudos mais aprofundados, sem de fato, proteger a área.
