Sexta-feira é dia de limpeza no Parque Ecológico Águas Claras. Durante toda a manhã, servidores e agentes de unidade de conservação do Instituto do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Hídricos do DF (Ibram) realizarão a retirada de lixo depositado no interior do Parque, às margens da cerca que delimita a unidade de conservação, em nascentes, lagoas e bueiros. A ação contará ainda com o apoio do Serviço de Limpeza Urbana (SLU), dos frequentadores do Parque, do grupo de escoteiros Ave Branca e do Batalhão da Companhia de Polícia Militar Ambiental. No sábado, dia 8 de outubro, o grupo de escoteiros fará também a limpeza do córrego Águas Claras.

Durante os dois dias do mutirão de limpeza, a equipe da Administração do Parque desenvolve ainda um trabalho de conscientização junto aos usuários a respeito das regras de convivência para aqueles que levam seus animais de estimação para passear no Parque. Além da distribuição de materiais informativos, a partir de agora os frequentadores terão a disposição sacolas para coleta de dejetos. Ao todo, três suportes serão instalados em pontos de maior movimentação de usuários da unidade – no acesso à educação ambiental, na altura da quadra 105 e na praça central, próximo à sede da Administração. O objetivo é garantir que os usuários recolham as fezes dos animais, contribuindo assim com a limpeza e conservação do Parque.
